Celebrating Passion and Smiles at Active Day of Plains
Our Value of the Month for September was Bring Your Passion and Your Smile, and Active Day of Plains was full of both last month – especially during Adult Day Services Week! The team and members made this special week fun, exciting, and, most importantly, memorable! Our member’s opinions matter, so while they were planning the events, our team met with them to discuss what they enjoyed most at Active Day year-round and incorporated it into the week’s activities. Check out below to see the fun week they had celebrating not only Adult Day Services Week but also their members, teammates, families, and community!
The week was packed with fun events, starting with a Patriotic Theme Day on Day One. Everyone wore their red, white, and blue attire and enjoyed patriotic games, songs, and snacks.
On Day Two, the team held an Open House where everyone was invited, including community members and families. Even the Township Commissioner visited to say hello and chat with everyone.
Carnival Day was Day Three, and there were many smiles shared throughout the entire day. The team transformed the center into a carnival funland with games, prizes, face painting, and more.
On Day Four, it was time to Rock n’ Roll! The Active Day of Plains team and members wore their favorite concert gear and had so much fun rocking the afternoon away with entertainment by Tom Argo.
The week ended on Day Five with the Fall Festival. The team and members dressed up as scarecrows, enjoyed apple cider and donuts, and bobbed for apples (with their hands) to win prizes.
